The Bike Academy
Sport is health!
Physical exercise is a natural need of everyone. In addition, if this takes place in a beautiful natural environment, on a bike, it provides a real rest. And what does riding a bike mean for our body? When cycling, we improve the functioning of the respiratory system and the cardiovascular system, providing the body with a thorough ventilation. This in turn improves our physical fitness and the efficiency of the whole body. As a result, our satisfaction and desire for life grows. But the bike gives us something else: slim calves and tightened thighs, strengthened hips, muscles of the back and abdomen. It makes relaxed muscles tense. When cycling, the spine is exercised. Pedaling also reduces the risk of varicose veins. While riding, the heart works faster, distributing blood throughout the body in order to supply oxygen to the muscles. It develops the circulatory system and the heart itself, allowing them to work properly. The heart is muscle, like the biceps – if we practice it, it grows and develops, becomes stronger and less unreliable.

By bike through the Cat Mountains
All our bike routes run via attractive and historical sites in the surrounding area. We can learn their history and, above all, see beautiful nature. Our Bicycle Academy is based on the Forest Bike Routes recommended by the Oborniki Slaskie Commune and the Aura Association. Bike routes are presented in the form of loops which overlap each other, giving you the possibility of any configuration. All the trails together have an overall length of 120 km. The longest is the oak or yellow trail, while the shortest is the lilac - green one. On each trail, you will find parking spaces thanks to which you can relax, have a sandwich and put the bike in a special stand, as well as look at the board and find out where you are.
The Oak Trail – the yellow trail – is about 37 km long. It runs through the following towns: Oborniki Slaskie, Jary, Wielka Lipa, Osola, Osolin, Bagno and Roscislawice. Tourists on the route of the yellow bike trail are offered many attractions, including the palace in Wielka Lipa, Bagno, the forest pond in Osolina or the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church from the turn of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
The Fir Trail – the blue trail – is about 35 km long. The trail runs from Kuraszkow through Oborniki Slaskie, Jary, Roscislawice, and Jodlowice, to Radecz. The attraction that cannot be missed is the Jodlowice Nature Reserve with a giant glacial erratic and conciliation cross.
The Lilac Trail – the green trail – is the shortest of the loops measuring about 12 km, which leads to Jary and Ciecholowice.
The Pine Trail – the red trail – leads to Uraz, through Jary, Roscislawice, Niziny and Lubnow. It is about 23 km long, and the greatest attraction is the harbor and the ruins of the castle in Uraz.
The Wolf Trail – the brown trail – is the only trail which leads to the eastern lands of the Oborniki Slaskie Commune. It measures about 20 km and runs through Wilczyn, Plaski Szczyt and Lisia Gora. The route is composed in such a way that demanding people can feel the relief of the Trzebnickie Hills and see what real physical effort means.
